Japan cm of the week - au is so fast!

This commercial for au's 4G LTE service is kinda cool, and IMO is how you sell a product: give a taste of the key features (a fast phone connection), in a snappy format that doesn't overwhelm you but leaves you wanting to know more.

It also stars model and sometimes actress Haruka Igawa (井川遥 - her official website is here) as the speedy one and her young companion is Ayame Gouriki (剛力彩芽 - here is her site).

Haruka Igawa does a lot of fashion magazines and also stars in movies and TV shows. I first noticed her in Hard to Say I Love You (素直になれなくて), a TV drama about finding companionship in an online-connected but physically distant world, where she IMO stole the show as the cheating young wife Toko. She wasn't a main character but her interactions with Nakaji (played by the always excellent Eita), made the drama worth watching.

Ayame is one of those Japanese actresses that I can't quite figure out. She's cute and I think does a good job in just about everything she's in, but she doesn't quite have enough to push her into getting big roles, and so does a lot of TV commercials...

Of course, I've heard commercials pay more than dramas in Japan so maybe that means she is in fact making it big.
