Abiko skies - GXR A16
July is half done and we're drifting in to another summer in the Kanto area. When it gets to be this time of the year it seems there's only one thing on everyone's minds: the heat. Oh, and how to get cool I guess also goes along with that.
It's also summer festival time. Alas this year I won't be around for the biggie of my area - the Kashiwa Matsuri (held July 28th and 29th) but I recommend going if you're in the area. There are always a ton of little stalls selling fried noodles, takoyaki, chicken skewers and beer. It's a great excuse to get drunk in the afternoon with several thousand other people.
But once you've had enough of the festival crowds, I say just find a way to pass the time and relax.
Enjoy a sunset. Talk with old friends.
Maybe meet some new ones.
Oh, for anyone who cares, these pics as usual were taken with my GXR with the A16, 24-85mm unit. The last one was done with the new HDR mode, and I think it works pretty well if used occasionally.
