Down by the lake - GXR A16
Now that we have a bit of sunlight for once, I decided to go for a walk down by the lake, and take out my new lens for a spin again.
The A16 unit seems to work really well so far. But is it as sharp as the A12 28 or 50mm units? I'm not sure quite yet. I'll have to take a bunch more pics before I decide completely.
I will say that the results I'm getting so far are truly impressive. And as much as I believe in the idea of getting everything done with one focal length if you can, it's nice to be able to go without changing lenses for a while.
Oh, and I have to say anyone who gets this unit has to pick up the auto lens cap LC-3 unit. It really makes on/off speed much faster, and lets you do a lot more without having to take your hand off the grip. Hit the on button, and your fingers are already lined up to snap off a pic, zoom, or adjust aperture or shutter speed without having to even look at the camera. IMO it's about the fastest and easiest to use all manual camera outside of huge, clunky expensive DSLRs.
