fall comes again

It's officially fall now in Japan. OK maybe not really. We went from nearly freezing weather a week ago to almost summer like weather this weekend, including what felt like a typhoon. My gut says fall this year is going to be a lot like spring was - short and unpredictable.

But the colors on trees are changing and it's slowly progressing towards winter.

What are your plans for the end of the year? Myself, I plan on enjoying my time here in this area in Japan.  I may end up fleeing to warmer locales at the end of the year, but for now I plan on going on a few short trips into the nearby mountains to check out places I haven't been to in ages. A month or so ago I went down to Kisarazu for the first time in 13 years. Maybe I should hit Nikko or Enoshima, both great spots to visit this time of year.
