Digger, cats

Just a pic of a digger near the lake by my apartment. I had a walk the other day around the lake.

Little did I realize but there's a family of very friendly cats living in the area too.

This one was a bit more shy, but obviously someone must take care of them because after a few seconds of hesitation they came up for a pet.

Oh, these pics were also all taken with the GXR 50mm A12 lens. I picked it up a week ago. I had been happy with the 28mm lens only, but recently I realized I needed another lens that also would give good resolution pics, but a bit closer. So I got the 50. I think these pics and more I'll post later show just how great the lens is.

I also have to say I kind of like the 50mm length. While it may be a bit close for scenery pics, it gives a bit more intimacy than a wider lens, as you can see here.

Man, I love my Ricoh.
