The Harlem Shake Japan

OK, I don't normally go for silly memes... No, wait. Yes I do.

Here is a little collection of Harlem Shake videos filmed in Japan, proving that something is even funnier when you do it with 100% enthusiasm.

For anyone out there who doesn't know what the Harlem Shake is, here is a link explaining it and here is I believe the first Harlem Shake video, or maybe just the most popular. At any rate, it's a pretty damn good idea IMO: take a normal looking scene with one person freaking out and everyone else straight-faced, then a few seconds later it turns into a bizarre version of an 80s dance movie.

Now back to some Japan-themed Harlem Shakes. This next one is filmed I guess in a html5 class. WTF?

I have to say the people there get big props for keeping a straight face.

The next one looks like it comes from a group at Kansai University. Really funny, especially the guy with the sword.

Wow, that's some crazy shit. I am glad to see this crazy meme taking off in Japan, too.

OK, now I think it's time I finish off this post before I lose my last two readers. So here is the last one, for now: the Japanese idol group UP UP GIRLS KAKKO KARI (their blog is here) doing the shake. Watch it to the end, and keep an eye on the girl in the bikini.

Whew, that took a lot out of my busy schedule of getting my ass teabagged in Halo 4. Gnite all!
