Spring and healing - GXR A16
Spring has finally come to Japan. A quick shock of pale white cherry blossoms has passed into the most vibrant green spring ever.
Maybe it's all because of the mild summer last year followed by the long, cold winter we had. Maybe it's because (as a friend of mine suggested), the damage to industry up north from the earthquake/nuclear disaster/tsunami allowed water to go unused last year which is now resulting in plants that feel just more vibrant and healthy than usual.
Or maybe... just maybe... it's because life is slowly returning to normal. The emotional scars of the disasters last year are now healing. So we can see the green that's there, and notice spring coming to life around us. The always brownish, sickly feel of nature last year seems to be getting better.
It is a sign of hope, that life can continue and even thrive if given a chance to recover, to heal.
