Kabukicho and around - GXR A16

OK it's day 3 of me wandering around to test out the new A16 lens unit I got for my GXR. So what better place to go than into Shinjuku, where there's always a lot of interesting buildings and people to see.

The top pic is looking towards Kabukicho - possibly the most notorious night spot in Japan, so much so that dudes on the plane with me when I first came were telling up tales about it, and none of us had ever even been in Japan yet. The second pic is looking back towards the station. Man, I love the blue of the sky and detail in the buildings.

I headed back and back into the SE area of Kabukicho and ran into a bunch of narrow alleys, stuffed with little bars, karaoke hangouts and eateries. It was 11am on a Sunday, but a few of the places were still packed with partiers from the night before.

I ran into a couple, very friendly and very drunk who asked to have their picture taken.

And on the way back to the station I saw the best bus ever. It's a Yodobashi Camera bus. Look at the tires. Classy.
